Review of the Sunwapta River self-drive rafting trip near Jasper, with Class 3 rapids, safety details, costs, timing, tips, and who should book.

“We did the the Sunwapta River rafting trip, class 3 rapids. It was exhilarating, our guide was Karleigh, she was experienced and directed us to row when we needed to, we felt very safe. We got wet and it was not a constant row, which was nice, as we took in the beautiful scenery along the way. The water is very cold and the rapids are challenging but not something that is difficult when you have 6 people rowing. We never did this before, and no experience is required. This tour is a very good introductory to white water rafting !!! Loved it and would definitely do it again !!!…”

“This experience exceeded expectations. I chose the level 2 family option as my youngest is 10 and we had never been before. From start to finish the company made everything so easy and enjoyable. Check in was easy and everyone was very friendly. Employees answered questions about the area on the bus ride to the starting point. Mini learning session before setting into the water was great for us first time rafters. Our captain, Collin, was friendly and made the experience fun for everyone. My 10 year old was able to sit in the front of the raft in the center and she got SOAKED! She loved every minute of…”

Wear swimsuits (they give you wetsuits to put on over them), and bring a towel. Molly was our guide and she was WONDERFUL.”
